Oh yeah, I have a Blog...

Sooooo…..there was this one time when I had a blog that I would occasionally write on but then one day I decided to take a 4 MONTH break….my bad.  I have now been told by a few people that I need to write again. So here I am, writing again.  I don’t know that I will be able to tell you all that has happened in these 4 magical months but I can tell you that they have been unforgettable and I thoroughly regret not writing about them.

Let’s see…where to start? Well I know you’re dying to know if Stephen and I are still together…and well….you better believe we are! (That’s the main reason that these last few months have been so magical).

Some of the adventures we have been on….Hmmm…we’ve gone to Utah a few times to visit the Slade’s.  We went down for conference at the end of April, and then a couple other times after that.

Beth and I completed our SWEET FAST on Easter and here are some of the pictures that ensued... It was a wonderful day, and not JUST because of the sweets…

The gang...Spartacus included :)

Remember that time that we lost Catch Phrase to the boys…? I am sad to inform you that their winning streak has yet to end…

Stephen turned 23 on June 29th and that was an awesome day!  We went to Chick Fil A at 6:30 in the morning for FREE Chicken Biscuits and later that night we all went to Pizza Pie Café (Stephen LOVES pizza…probably even more than he loves me…) and after that we had cake…but not just any kind of cake, this was an AVENGERS ICE CREAM CAKE! It was DELICIOUS!

What? You didn't know I was dating Iron Man?

We had Virg’s Bridal shower as well…lots of delicious food and skanky gifts some awesome presents!  It was way fun!  (Megan and Kakamoe were able to come up to Idaho and be with us for the weekend and we had a blast!) However, due to the nature of some the gifts she received, I will refrain from putting pictures of those up…however you can just go to this site and look around, I’m sure you’ll see some of the things she got (Ben, you’re not allowed to be looking…)

Aren't they precious?

Independence Day was EXTREMELY fun.  We went to Egin Lakes and got burned to a crisp BUT later that night, we went to Café Rio and we went and saw the fireworks in Idaho Falls.  The fireworks were absolutely stunning. (Aloe Vera was our best friend for the next WEEK)

School has been stressful this whole semester, but luckily I have three, yes three, days to go and I will be finished with my 9th semester of college! I only have 2 to go!!! (If all goes well…) If you were wondering, the classes I took this semester were, Statistics (DISCLAIMER: I HAVE to take this class for my major (Sociology), this is NOT a class I would have voluntarily taken…I am ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE at any sort of math so it has been…um…interesting…we’ll see how I do after this final exam, eek!), Sociological Theory (this is the class that I have with Stephen, however, we don’t sit next to each other because we both know that we would not pay attention at all…everyone in the class thinks it’s weird, our teacher included, BUT it works for us…I still stare at him  from across the room I can still see him though, so that’s all that matters), Sociology of Religion, and Law & Society (Both of these were EXTREMELY interesting and I am so glad I decided to take.

What else?  Stephen and I are frequent bowlers, we’re not that great at it, but it’s the appeal of beating each other that keeps us going. HA. We also like to go see movies…some of the movies we’ve seen recently are…The Avengers (this movie is seriously EPIC. If you haven’t seen it, I STRONGLY suggest going to see it, you will NOT be disappointed!), The Lockout (unrealistic, not worth seeing again), The Amazing Spider Man (Another one that I STRONGLY suggest seeing!), Battleship (meh, it was OK), Snow White and the Huntsman (I enjoyed this one A LOT more than Stephen did), and a few others, so yeah, we like our movies.  Oh and don’t worry, we have tickets to see The Dark Knight Rises this Friday, so I should be reporting about that, hopefully.

There is not much else to say, I'm sure I will think of things later that I could have told you about, but alas, I cannot think of anything else at the moment.  OH! One last thing…Stephen went home to Chicago for his sister, Rachel’s, graduation the first weekend in June.  Yes, I was pathetic that weekend without him.  But, you wanna know how awesome he is????  He was going to be gone on our three month anniversary which I was so terribly sad about, BUT he made me a dozen Duct Tape flowers and gave them to Beth before he left to leave at my doorstep that morning.  How lucky am I? It was precious.  He MADE THEM! Seriously?

I know, I know, you ladies are all wishing he was your boyfriend, BUT,  I'm sorry, he is definitely taken. It’s OK to cry.  He’s amazing and I am so blessed and so amazed that someone like him would fall in love with me.  I thank my lucky stars for him every single day.

Well, that’s all.  I know this post was EXTREMELY long so I completely understand if you stopped reading after the first paragraph of rambling…I tend to go on, and on, and on, and on…Anyway, it has been a GREAT semester and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

Also, if you get the chance, you should check out my roommate, Beth's, blog! She just started it and it's awesome!

I'm loving several things on this fine Wednesday...

I'm loving this new perfume I bought a couple of weeks ago, on sale for $15 dollars at ULTA! Its called Pink Sugar and it smells divine!

I'm loving that I just found out that I can watch 4 seasons of "Hey Arnold" on Netflix Instant Play...this makes me, oh so excited!

I'm loving that I get to start my second job next week!

I'm loving these movies I just saw...

I'm loving that Pay Day is in two days!

I'm loving that this movie comes out in exactly 50 days!!!!!!!

And finally, I'm loving that my bff Beth is home after a year a half....its about time.

And yes, I do realize that most of those things had to do with watching movies or TV, but whatever. Once I start my second job, I wont have time for all of that so Im going to enjoy it while I can.

I hope y'all have something to love on this Wednesday!

Questions, Questions, Questions

So, this is me putting off my homework/studying for finals.  I just don't want to do anything today ok?  I mean I will...eventually, but for now, Im not. Don't judge me.
So a friend of mine sent me this questionnaire/survey thing in an email and I was like, oh, I should put this on my blog.  However, that thing was 60 questions long...um no, I'm not filling out that whole thing unless I'm getting a grade for it.  So I cut out the ones I didn't like/were stupid and I just filled out the ones I wanted to, so here you go.  Some information about myself. You should be excited.  Sorry for the lack of order in the questions though.

1. What time is it?
It’s 5:15 P.M. I just got up from a nap about an hour ago and I want to go back to sleep.  My body is not functioning today. I did go to class today though.

This is how I feel.
3. What type was your first car?
Well, the first car I used was my parents red Honda CR-V, that car was sa-weet!

5. If you could have any job, what would it be?
Well…my dream has always been to be a famous singer…but since the likelihood of that is very slim, I’m going to go with music teacher. Music is the best thing in the world and I would get to teach it to kids and instill in them a love of music too…how awesome is that?

6. What are you most afraid of?
SHARKS…oh.my.gosh.  I hate them so much.  They give me the chills just thinking about them.  However, I have seen almost every shark movie out there because even though I hate them, I am fascinated by them and I think I just love to be scared by them.  My dad always says, I’ll give you $1000 bucks if you go down in a shark cage.  And every time I say, Dad, haven’t you seen that one JAWS where the shark cage breaks off and the dude has to swim out to get back to the boat? Seriously? No. Not happening. EVER.

Apparently this really happened.
And, a few days ago, it happened in Florida.
Um, I would be peeing my pants

8. What are four movies you would watch over and over?
11.   10 Things I Hate About You- You cant go wrong with Heath Ledger…may he rest in peace…plus this movie is hilarious

Gorgeous.
2.   She’s the Man- um, Amanda Bynes is brilliant…can anyone else play a guy the way she does? No.  That is one of THE most, if not THE most quotable/quoted movies ever.  My friends and I and random people quote that movie all the time.

3.   The Patriot/The Green Mile- I threw in the Patriot because it is awesome, but I didn’t want to name another Heath Ledger movie, but I love all of his movies but seeing as I cant put all of them…I put The Green Mile, if you haven’t seen this movie.  Go see it…like…now.  Classic.  Tom Hanks and that big black guy.  I sobbed, but it is Epic.

4.   Forrest Gump- I promise you, this movie will never get old.  I could watch this over and over again in one sitting and it wouldn’t old.  My family owns this movie, but we still watch it every time its on TV. That’s how great it is.

10. What are four places you have lived?
1.   Birmingham, Alabama…I just said that.
2.   Rexburg, Idaho- aka, the coldest place on earth.  Where I chose to come to school. Don’t ask.
3.   Provo, Utah- Another place I went to school
4.   Quito, Ecuador- best place on earth, next to my home.  And because all of my little babies are there, just waiting for my return.

12. What are four places you would rather be right now?
1.   At the beach…It snowed in Rexburg yesterday, it is still that cold
2.   Home. Period.
3.   Ecuador.  My second home. With my babies.
4.   Hmmm…maybe like on a cruise to the Bahamas or something.  Everyone just got back from Spring Break and we, up here in Idaho, don’t get a Spring Break…only because we get out of school extremely early…that’s right…eight more days baby! Woohoo!  I just have to make it through finals week first.

15. What are four of your favorite foods?
1.   Beef Tips and Rice
2.   Chocolate Chip Cookies
3.   Baked Potatoes
4.   Ice Cream

Jason's Deli baked potato, the biggest and best.
17. Which do you prefer, ketchup or mustard?
Ketchup.  Mustard is nasty.

19. Do you eat the stems of broccoli?
Broccoli? Sick.  My least favorite food in the world would have to be broccoli.  EEEEEWWWWWWWWW.

20. Favorite Drink?
Coca Cola. Nuff said.

21. Favorite ice cream?
Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Therapy, but when I can’t have that, Rocky Road…or just plain Chocolate.

22. What's your natural hair color?
Blonde.

26. Favorite day of the week?
Friday or Saturday…I mean I usually don’t have much to do on those days so they are the least stressful days…aka awesome!

27. Favorite Restaurant?
The Cheesecake Factory or Firebirds.  Both of which are delectable.

29. Favorite sport to watch?
Football. Roll Tide!

30. Disney or Warner Brothers?
Disney…however…Warner Brothers did do the Harry Potter series which is just complete and utter brilliance, so WB when talking about HP, but Disney for everything else.

31. Favorite fast food restaurant?
Chick-fil-A. Always and forever.

34. What do you do most often when you are bored?
Get on Facebook…or read.

35. Bedtime?
Usually not before 12 AM…I got homework to do…and maybe some other things that are a complete waste of time but we wont mention those.

40. Favorite TV show of all time?
Boy Meets World.  Always will be the best.
Currently though, GLEE!

47. What is your favorite board game?
Probably Scrabble, that game is awesome! And who doesn’t like to spell?

48. Favorite smell?
Either Acqua di gio cologne or the smell of freshly baked Chocolate Chip Cookies.

50. Favorite colors?
Cerulean. It’s a blue.

51. Least favorite color?
Probably brown. I don’t think I even own any brown clothes or shoes.

52. Future (or first) child's name?
Um, I like Tristan, and Scarlett…I guess it just depends though.

54. Do you like to drive fast?
Yes I do.

57. If you could meet one person dead or alive who would it be?
Patsy Cline.  That woman is a legend.  Her voice is stunning.

Ladies and gentlemen,
Miss Patsy Cline!

59. Storms: cool or scary?
They are sa-weet! My dad and I used to sit out on the porch when a thunderstorm would come rolling through in the summer with a blanket and just watch the storm and remark on how cool the lightning was, or how loud the thunder was. Good times.

Well, thats all I got, hopefully, I'll write again soon...!
Have a wonderful week!

Its March!

I cannot believe it is already March!  Did you guys watch the Academy Awards?  Awesome.  Although I wanted Inception to win best picture, because lets be honest, it was the best picture of the year.  There were  so many beautiful people there as well.  My favorite this year...? Halle Berry.  She looked stunning, and even though I would never wear this dress, she just looked absolutely beautiful.

I also thoroughly enjoyed the "musical" section of the awards, didn't you?  If you didn't see it, don't worry I have got it right here for your enjoyment.  I especially enjoyed the beginning and the end.

There are so many things I want to post in this post I just don't even know how to tie them together. So, sorry is this is going to be all over the place.

Want to know two shows that I have recently become obsessed with?
Pretty Little Liars is one of them.  Well ok, I have been obsessed with this one for awhile and I watch it every single week, I don't miss it.  Its almost as bad as GLEE, but not quite there.  What about it makes me keep watching it, even though it is so completely corny?  It keeps you hanging Every.Single.Week. It is so addictive!

Plus, the guys in it aren't that terrible either...

The other show, that I am VERY recently obsessed with... psych
What?  You don't know what show Im talking about? Thats terrible.  Its only one of the funniest shows I ever seen.  Im already finished with the first season and no, I am not going to say when I started watching them...my parents might kill me, but then I would tell them that I just got an A on a test, so then they would get over the fact that I have watched an entire season of a show in less than a week
such a short amount of time...(and hopefully Kakamoe wont get on to me about that run-on sentence) Anyways, if you haven't seen it, I assure you, you will enjoy it. Yes mom, I am talking to you.

Only the two funniest guys...like,
EVER.

One thing that I tried this weekend for the first time (Mom and Dad, don't judge, I promise this wont be a weekly occurrence, just bi-weekly, ok kidding.)

DEEP.FRIED.OREOS
Yum. I have had many things fried in my life, but not these. They were absolutely delicious. Unbelievably delicious, actually.

Want to know what is so awkward?
When the guy at the check out at Walmart asks you if you remember him, because he says he remembers you.  Excuse me? What? You REMEMBER me?
The last time I was here was...2.5 Weeks ago. Seriously dude, did you take a class on how to be a creeper? You aced that one didn't you? Needless to say me and Kim got out of there as fast as we could.

Something else Kim and I saw in Walmart that was blog worthy?
Only this...

Yes, that is a DUDE bunny.  Who gives that for easter? EASTER. Come on people. Really?
Did you notice his BLING? Oh right, how could you miss it?
What is this world coming to? I mean first of all, they associate Rabbits/Bunnies with Easter and then they make them GHETTO? Seriously?

I did a podcast this weekend. All by myself.  Cool huh? It was made all of GLEE songs and me talking.
Dont worry though, I probably wont make another one, because for 1) Im pretty terrible at it and 2), I only did it because I had to for my Music Tech class.  Nevertheless, its a good skill to know...I think.

And lastly these are for myself and everyone out there who need something to help them get through situations that they are dealing with that may not be so easy.

Have an awesome week and hopefully I will write tomorrow or the next day. I'll keep you posted!
Love ya!
