One word. JOSH.

First of all I need to apologize for my lack of blogs, in, well, basically almost a month.  I work sixteen hours a day and when I get a day off, all I wanna do is sleep. Ok I'll stop complaining, I don't need your pity...

So I know y'all have been waiting.  Last week I had the experience of a lifetime...Well, my lifetime anyways.  It was awesome and it was one of the things on my 101 list.
I
WENT
TO
SEE
JOSH
GROBAN
IN
CONCERT!!!!!!!!

JEALOUS?
Its ok,  I would be too, but I don't have to be!

Seriously, it was an amazing concert.  I would definitely see him again, and again, and again, and again, No Joke.
I am so in love with that man.
Also, hes funny.
Like, very funny.
Surprising I know.
But...he cant dance.
Im ok with that. It was fun to watch him try, haha...
Anyways, here are some pics of this perfect man for yall to lust over...ok dont do that, He's mine.

the little things

I think I have already posted something like this on here before but Im sure one can always have a post like this, unless one is just extremely unhappy, which I'm not so here goes...
There are so many little things that make us happy.
Me, well I have quite a few.
Several have happened in the last couple days and I would like to tell you about them.

Yesterday, at work, I was talking with one of my co workers and I cant even remember what we were talking about but, they ended up saying, "What would Neil Patrick Harris do?" Dude, I busted out laughing and laughed about it for the rest of my night. Can I say LEGEN...wait for it, and I hope you're not lactose-intolerant, because the second half of this word is...DARY....?
How I met your mother, is basically one of the most hilarious shows ever. So when my co worker said that, it just caught me off guard. Epic.

Getting free stuff.
A couple days ago, I went to get an energy drink at the gas station and when I went up to the cash register, the cashier said he liked my glasses (they're new), and because he thought they were so cool, he let me have my energy drink...FOR FREE (insert Adam Sandler voice from Bedtime Stories).
Maybe the dude was a little creepy at the time...but, hey, that was two dollars I didn't have to spend on free energy, What?

DVR'ing things, yes I just made that into a verb.
All the good shows come on at night, so I DVR EVERYTHING, and watch them in the morning before I go to work, because when I get home at night, all I wanna do is check Facebook and go to sleep. (P.S. did you know that if you the word Facebook with a little f, it puts the red squiggly line under it? But if you spell it with a capital F it doesn't...really? Facebook is a proper noun now? I guess, its a noun...right? Kakamoe, Kim, or Megan, a little help here?)
In conclusion, DVR'ing is basically awesome, in every way possible.

Speaking Spanish.
I can understand most Spanish and I work with a lot of Hispanics and well, they don't speak much English, and I know what they are saying when no one else does.  This is awesome because they cant talk about me because they know I understand what they are saying and I get to translate for everyone and that kinda makes me feel important....and everyone likes to feel important sometimes. you know its true.

And lastly, I was on Stumbleupon last night and came across this recipe that I will be making as soon as I have something worth making a cake for...

A rainbow cake in a jar. Genius. How cool is this? Like seriously?
Anyways, I gotta get ready for work now, I will see you tomorrow!
Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Mommy dearest...

Guess what today is?  Its my MOM's BIRTHDAY!!!!!! Woohoo!  I wont tell you how old she is because she might just kill me.  But lets just say, she's old enough to be my mom.  Anyways, she is basically the BEST mom in the world.  I don't care what y'all say. My mom is the BEST.  Not your mom is not the best, mine is. I would say that she and I have the most in common between her and my dad but, I think its evenly shared.  I would put a pic of her on here, but just like my Dad, she doesn't like her picture taken so I don't even have one of her.  Plus, she probably wouldn't appreciate her face plastered on the internet.
My mom is awesome for many reasons....

She enjoys GLEE just as much as I do.  Another show that we enjoy watching together, and when were apart?  SURVIVOR. That is not weird. We love it.

My mom loves makeup just as much as I do...Im gonna take a shot in the dark and say that my live of makeup might have come from her...just a thought.  One kind we both love and sometimes she buys for me, ok lets be honest, most of the time.  I am so grateful for that because this stuff is expensive.

This stuff is, in a word, magical...

Speaking of magic...My mom LOVES the Harry Potter series.  Not quite as much as my sister and I do, but she loves it.  I mean its kind of hard not to love.  She has gone to see several of the movies with my sister and I, when its not the midnight showing.  But we see it so many times in the theater, that she has many opportunities to accompany us.  Im so glad she wasn't one of those moms that refused to let their kids read the series.  Like really?  HP is one of, if not the best series ever written.  She is awesome.  Most of the time she would finish reading them before me and my sister because she reads WAY fast.  Thats another thing that she loves.  Reading.  I would say its probably her favorite thing to do.  Another thing I got from her and my dad is my love of reading.  My mom takes a book wherever she goes.  She is always reading a book.

If my mom had a library, it would look like this one.
She has probably read this books or more in her lifetime,
this is the library from Beauty and the Beast.
When I get famous Mom, I will build you this library.

My mom was born and raised in the good ol' state of ALABAMA and she has five brothers and sisters.  She grew up on a farm and has a work ethic like no other.  Probably because she spent her summers on the farm and didn't have much fun...like we did as children.  But because of her and my Dad, I would be way lazy.  I know so many people that their parents didn't make them do chores all around their house without pay, but we did.  So I can assure you, my kids are gonna work.

My mom loves music.  Just as much as I do.  She sings like no other.  Her voice is amazing and I just hope and pray that someday I will have the power and talent that she has.  People always want to hear her sing.  But once you've heard her, you'll want to hear it all the time.  She has sung at numerous weddings and funerals.  Can you imagine being so good at singing that people put it in their will that they want YOU to sing at their funeral? Sometimes I get to sing duets with her and its magical. SHE.IS.AWESOME.  No joke.
When I was a kid, every saturday, when we would clean, we always had music playing.  It was always on in the car.  I always associate my mom with music.  This summer, she and I are gonna go see
JOSH GROBAN in concert and I am so so so so so so excited.  Dad, you can come too.
We love him.

One of my moms favorite things to say to me?
"Sara, happiness is a choice." Thats it.  There have been times in my life when I haven't been happy, surprising right? Haha not.  Anyways, she always tells me this and to this day and for the rest of my life I will always remember that. Whenever Im unhappy, I always think of my mom telling me that, and immediately TRY to change my mood.  Sometimes it works, but sometimes I like to be mad or hold grudges. Weird, I know.

My moms favorite thing to eat?
Anything sour. Or any hard candy. Also Bubble Gum.  No, not chewing gum, BUBBLE gum.

My moms favorite movie?

Um, if you haven't seen it, then you need to.
STAT. Its only amazing.
My mom is also a big supporter in getting even. (Hopefully she wont kill me for putting this up here)
Now, I haven't exactly witnessed any of this but I have heard stories, and I don't doubt it. When I want to get someone back, I call her and she always has the best advice.

Basically my mom is the best, if you haven't yet noticed.  She is always there for me when I am upset.  She is always willing to help.  People love her because she is so awesome.  No one could ever replace my mom and I am so glad I get to be her kid. I love her oh so much.  Mom you are the best, I hope you know that. Thanks for all the crap I put you through my whole life.  Thanks for always being there and for helping me through everything. Thanks for always going to my concerts and supporting me and my dream.  I haven't seen my mom in almost eight months, which is killer.  I love cracking jokes with my mom and just talking to her about random stuff.  She is the best, I think I already said that, but she is.
I love you mom and I hope you have a wonderful birthday!  You deserve it!

The words I didn't get to say.

There are so many things going through my head right now that its hard to put into words.  I came back from Ecuador on Tuesday and later this week, I started school at Brigham Young University Idaho.  Let me just tell you that I did not want to come back.  I wanted to just stay in Ecuador, I wanted to be with my babies for the rest of my life.  Leaving Ecuador was THE SINGLE HARDEST THING I HAVE EVER DONE IN MY LIFE. Im sure there will be more trials later in life will be just as hard, but at this point in my life, leaving my babies is the hardest.

I cried my last day, all day.  I didn't want to leave.  I cried when I had to say goodbye to Andres and all he did was smile.  I cried when LuLu told me "te extrano mucho" which means I will miss you.  I cried when I told Camilo goodbye and he touched the tear running down my face.  I cried when Emily waved to me the last time I saw and her and she said "chao." I cried when Sara gave me a huge hug.  I cried when Sor Alba told me thank you for everything and told me to never forget these little angels and to never forget Ecuador and to come back soon.  And I cried when I was walking out the door for the last time and Jorge came running to me and clung onto my legs and said "Chao, Shala" and then gave me a beso.

They changed my life.

If I could tell them and they would understand, I would tell them that I loved them more than anything.  I would tell them to never let anyone tell them that they are anything less perfect.  That there are so many people that love you, you may not know it but you have touched so many lives and you will grow up to be amazing people.  Your Father in Heaven loves you and if you always remember that, you will never be alone.  Always choose to be happy.  Life is tough, but you can get through it, it always works itself out.   Live Life to the fullest.  Follow your dreams and never let anyone tell you, you cant do something. You may not remember me, but I will never forget you.  You will forever be in my heart and I will praying for you and thinking about you always.  I love you so much and I will miss you always.

I left my heart in Ecuador.  Oh Heavenly Father, help me and please keep those kids safe.

A song that I like to listen to when I am missing them is called "Never Alone" by Jim Brickman, sung by Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum.  Here are the lyrics and a link to the song:

May the angels protect you
Trouble neglect you
And heaven accept you when it's time to go home
May you always have plenty
Your glass never empty
Know in your belly
You're never alone

May your tears come from laughing
You find friends worth having
With every year passing
They mean more than gold
May you win but stay humble
Smile more than grumble
And know when you stumble
You're never alone

Never alone
Never alone
I'll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly
This isn't goodbye
My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone

Well, I have to be honest
As much as I want it
I'm not gonna promise the cold winds won't blow
So when hard times have found you
And your fear surround you
Wrap my love around you
You're never alone

Never alone
Never alone
I'll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly
This isn't goodbye
My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone

May the angels protect you
Trouble neglect you
And heaven accept you when it's time to go home
And when hard times have found you
And your fear surround you
Wrap my love around you
You're never alone

Never alone
Never alone
I'll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly
This isn't goodbye
My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone
My love will follow you stay with you
Baby you're never alone

I will never forget your beautiful faces and spirits.  I will love you always.

Ecuador and the Jonas Brothers

Yes.  I have seen The Jonas Brothers.  THEY WERE AWESOME!  There were so many people there too.  We were so amazed that that many Ecuadorians like The Jonas Brothers.  They even would sing along in ENGLISH.  We had so much fun.  We made shirts that said We Love Jonas Bros with a sweet techniques that I learned from my sister.  We jumped around and sang all night long and people kept staring at us but as my friend likes to say, "Were white, we can get away with anything."  So it was ok that we looked white because were gringas.  Since we paid $35 bucks for our tickets and not $100, we had to stand on the ground in the back, so we didn't get great pics, but since I have a super sweet camera I had a great zoom and I was able to take multiple shots at once (Thank you Dad for always finding the best electronics before letting us spend our money on them, or your money for that matter).  So in the end I did get some pretty sweet pics.  Basically we had an unforgettable night :)

Last Friday we went to Teleferiqo, which is basically just a place you can ride gondolas up a huge mountain and see the view of the city from way up high and it was breathtaking, literally.  When we got up there and had to hike some more and all of us were about dying by the time we finished especially being in 9,200 feet altitude.  Talk about ridiculous. Man. It was worth it though.  Take a look.

So until next time...Chao!  I miss you all so very much but I am having the time of my life.  Love you!
